Section of Hanoi’s ring road No.3 open to traffic

Hanoi (VNA) – The Mai Dich – Thang Long bridgesection of Hanoi Ring Road No.3, the first stage, was opened to traffic onOctober 10 on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the capital liberation.

As one of the urgent works that holds significance to thecapital city, the project cost over 3.1 trillion VND (134.7 million USD) sourcedfrom the city’s budget. It includes the expansion of Pham Van Dong roadstretching as far as 5.5km together with pavements, greenery and lighting.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the municipal People’sCommittee Nguyen Duc Chung said the work contributes to easing trafficcongestion and creates favourable conditions for the Transport Ministry to completethe Ring Road No.3 as approved by the Prime Minister.

He asked the project management board and units concerned toput the work into effective use, ensure traffic safety and environmenthygiene./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
