SEA Games 26 opens in Indonesia

The 26th Southeast Asia Games (SEA Games 26) opened in Indonesia on Nov. 11.
The opening ceremony of the 26th Southeast Asia Games (SEA Games 26)took place in Palembang city in the South Sumatra province of Indonesiaon the evening of Nov. 11 with the torch lit by legendary Indonesianfemale badminton player Susi Susanti.

The ceremony was alsoresplendent with fireworks show, laser lights and a traditional musicperformance given by more than 3,000 dancers and peformers.

AsIndonesia hosts the SEA Games for the fourth time, this year’s eventattracted thousands of participants from 11 regional countries.

Morethan 600 Vietnamese athletes will compete in 37 events and are aimingfor a top three spot at the largest regional sporting event./.
