Scholarships awarded to outstanding students in Long An
The Asian Development Fund (ADF) on September 12 awarded 200 scholarships to outstanding underprivileged students in the Mekong Delta province of Long An with a total value exceeding 800 million VND (33,000 USD).

Long An (VNA)๊ – The Asian Development Fund (ADF) on September 12 awarded 200 scholarships to outstanding underprivileged students in the Mekong Delta province of Long An with a total value exceeding 800 million VND (33,000 USD).
Sponsored by COBI CIF Co., Ltd., a private real estate and construction material firm of the Republic of Korea, the scholarships included 100 awards for high school students (3 million VND each) and 100 sets for university and college students (5 million VND each).
Kim Joon Il, Chairman of COBI Group and ADF, highlighted that this is the fifth year since 2020 that COBI CIF has partnered with the Long An Department of Education-Training and the province's study promotion association to provide scholarships, with over 1,200 awards worth 4.8 billion VND delivered so far.
Nguyen Van Duoc, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council, emphasised that these scholarships play a crucial role in encouraging students to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies, contributing to the province's development.
Currently, COBI Group has four investment projects in the Long Hau Expanded Industrial Zone in Can Giuoc district, Long An, with registered capital exceeding 55 million USD. These projects focus on construction of commercial zones, office and factory for rent and logistics services.
On the occasion, the provincial People's Committee presented certificates of merit to Kim Joon Il and Kim Jae Sung, General Director of COBI CIF, for their contributions to education and social welfare in the province./.
As many as 212 outstanding students from the central provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Ha Tinh received Vallet scholarships at a ceremony in Dong Hoi city on September 3.
