The State Museum of Oriental Art of Russia organised a Vietnam Week from May 25-31 on its Instagram page to introduce the most typical among objects displayed at its Vietnam Space.

Moscow (VNA) – The State Museum of Oriental Art of Russia organised aVietnam Week from May 25-31 on its Instagram page to introduce the most typicalamong objects displayed at its Vietnam Space.
Within the framework of the event, peoplewere offered a chance to learn about the founding history of Vietnam’s waterpuppetry and outstanding characters through a video.
Another video told a story about the altarin a Vietnamese village’s temple where its founders or contributors areworshipped.
The third video featured different Buddhastatues in Vietnam. Vietnam’s lacquer paintings were also introduced tovisitors on this occasion.
On May 28 and 30, on the museum’s Youtubeaccount, Albina Legostaeva, the museum’s expert on Vietnam collections,delivered online lectures on Vietnam’s lacquer paintings and famous Vietnameseheroines as well as the image of Vietnamese women in the 19th century and the early 20th century in the eyes of foreigners.
Via VKLive platform, the museum told fairtales of Vietnam for children and broadcast songs played with the country’straditional instruments via Yandex platform.
The Vietnam Week served as a culturalbridge giving Russians an insight into the Southeast Asian nation’s culture./.
