Hanoi (VNA) ♍– A Russian passenger has received timely medical assistance from a delegation of doctors from the Russian Ministry of Health while travelling on a Vietnam Airlines flight from Moscow to Hanoi.
On flight VN62 on September 11, a 55-year-old male passenger developed symptoms of dizziness and fatigue around two hours after takeoff. The cabin crew swiftly activated emergency protocols, administered first aid, and broadcast a request for medical support from passengers.
Coincidentally, the flight included four doctors from a high-level delegation of the Russian Ministry of Health on an official visit to Vietnam. They immediately responded to the call, working closely with the crew to examine, consult, and provide prompt medical care to the passenger.
The medical team and cabin crew continued to monitor his condition throughout the journey, and by the time the plane landed at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, the passenger’s health had stabilised.

The new rules ban the use of lithium backup batteries on all flights operated by the Vietnam Airlines Group, encompassing Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and Vasco. Passengers carrying such devices in hand luggage must declare them at check-in and place them for easy inspection and detection of any irregularities.
Passengers can access the service via wifi on their personal devices and choose from three data packages based on their needs, including a messaging package for 5 USD allowing unlimited text messaging during the flights; a one-hour browsing package for 10 USD; and an unlimited browsing package for the entire journey at 20 USD.
As the passengers’ condition failed to improve, the captain decided to divert the aircraft to Da Nang International Airport in central Vietnam for profesional medical attention as soon as possible.
