Russia thanks Vietnam for humanitarian assistance amid COVID-19

🎃 – Spokeswoman of the Russian ForeignMinistry Maria Zakharova has expressed thanks to the Vietnamese Government for itscontinued provision of humanitarian assistance for Russia in the fight againstCOVID-19 pandemic.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, theVietnamese Government, ministries, agencies and localities have donated about 1 million protective masks 𝕴together with a plenty of sterilisationequipment to Russia in the spirit of friendship and comprehensive partnership, sheaddressed a regular press briefing in Moscow on October 29.

All batches of medical equipmenthave been transported to the port of Vladivostok and will soon be transferredto the Ministry of Emergency Situations for distribution in the Primorsky region,she added. According to her, both Vietnam andRussia are strengthening close cooperation through their specialised agenciesand organisations, including the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre, and throughthe exchange of expertise, to counter the spread of the pandemic.

Currently, Russia is consideringthe use of 500 respirators assembled in Vietnam, said Zakharova./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
