Hanoi (VNA) – The Muan International Airport in theRepublic of Korea (RoK)’s South Jeolla province will allow the resumption of internationalflights, including those to Vietnam, this July.
International air routes to be reopened will connect theKorean destination to Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Da Lat cities of Vietnam, Bangkokof Thailand, and Ulaanbaatar of Mongolia.
The number of foreign tourists to Vietnam is recoveringrapidly after the government completely abolished the COVID-19 preventionmeasures, including the reinstatement of visa waiver and the exemption fromCOVID-19 test confirmation for foreign visitors.
Statistics show that Vietnam hosted 172,000 foreigner touristsin May, up by 12.8 times year on year and more than 50,000 visitors compared toApril.
By country, the RoK has so far sent the highest number of visitors toVietnam this year. As of the end of April, 28,600 Koreans visited Vietnam fortourism purposes, up 195 percent over the same period last year. Americans camesecond with 23,100 arrivals during the same period, followed by Chinese andJapanese./.
