Revolutionary press day celebrated in Russia

The Embassy of Vietnam in Russia held a meeting in Moscow on June 21 for journalists of Vietnam’s press agencies based in the country, on the occasion of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925-2018).

Moscow (VNA) – ꦗThe Embassy of Vietnam in Russia held a meeting in Moscow on June 21 for journalists of Vietnam’s press agencies based in the country, on the occasion of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925-2018).

The meeting was attended by journalists from the Vietnam News Agency, Radio the Voice of Vietnam, the Vietnam Television and the Nhan dan (People) newspaper. Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Ngo Duc Manh congratulated the journalists on their achievements. He also lauded the cooperation between the representative press agencies and diplomatic units in Russia, timely reporting on activities of Vietnam’s delegations in Russia and the country’s situation in a full manner, thus consolidating the two countries’ relations.  He stated that as information is provided in many platforms, journalists’ responsibility has become more important to provide readers in the host country with the most accurate information. At the meeting, participants revised the development of Vietnam’s press and the role of journalists. They also discussed measures to enhance prompt reporting.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
