Hoa Binh (VNA)🅠 - TheMilitary Command of the northern mountainous province of Hoa Binh organised a ground-breaking ceremony on March 12 for a project to upgrade a revolutionary historicalrelic site associated with the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP).

The project aims to preserveand uphold the values of the site, thus demonstrating the solidarity,time-honoured relations, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam andLaos, said Colonel Nguyen Quoc Toan, Commander of the provincial MilitaryCommand.

The site is located withinthe headquarters of the Military Command in Hoa Binh city, where the LaoPeople’s Party (now the LPRP) held political training and a preparatory sessionfor its second congress in December 1971.

Covering an area of nearly1,000 sq.m, the project will upgrade a traditional house and hall as well as otherfacilities, with funding of around 47.1 billion VND (2 million USD) sourcedfrom local and central budgets.

The provincial People’sCommittee has assigned the Military Command as the main investor.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
