Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank ofVietnam (SBV) adjusted the daily reference VND/USD exchange rate on June 26 up 5VND from the day ago to 22,436 VND.
With the current trading band of +/- 3percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,108VND and the floor rate 21,764 VND per USD.
The rates listed at commercial banks in theopening hour fluctuated slightly.
Market research firm MarketIntello has forecast that Vietnam’s inflation may fall to below 3 percent, lower than the rate of 3.8 percent it predicted last month.
The daily reference VND/USD exchange rate rose for the fifth consecutive day on June 22 as the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set it at 22,433 VND per USD, up 5 VND compared to the previous day.
The daily reference exchange rate on June 26 was set at 22,431 VND per USD, down 1 VND compared to the rate on the last working day of last week (June 23).
