Reference exchange rate rises further on October 24

The State Bank of Vietnam adjusted the daily reference exchange rate on October 24 up for the second consecutive day to 22,721 VND per USD, an increase of 2 VND from the previous day (October 23).

Hanoi (VNA) - TheState Bank of Vietnam adjusted the daily reference exchange rate on October 24up for the second consecutive day to 22,721 VND per USD, an increase of 2 VNDfrom the previous day (October 23).

 With the current trading band of +/- 3percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,402VND/USD and the floor rate 22,040 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates atcommercial banks stayed stable.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV kept theirrates unchanged from October 23, listing the buying rate at 23,300 VND/USD, andthe selling rate at 23,390 VND/USD.

Techcombank also maintained thesame rates as on October 23 at 23,280 VND/USD (buying) and 23,390 VND/USD(selling).

This week the reference exchangerate was adjusted down on Monday but up on Tuesday and today.-VNA
