Reference exchange rate down 9 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,128 VND/USD on January 6, down 9 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchangerate for the US dollar at 23,128 VND/USD on January 6, down 9 VND from theprevious day.

With thecurrent trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable tocommercial banks during the day is 23,821 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,434VND/USD.

Theopening-hour rate at commercial banks dropped.

At 8:20 am, Vietcombanklisted the buying rate at 22,590 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,900VND/USD, both down 20 VND from the rates at the same hours on January 5.

Meanwhile, BIDVkept both rates unchanged from the previous day at 22,610 VND/USD (buying) and22,890 VND/USD (selling)./.
