Reference exchange rate down 5 VND on August 28

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,268 VND/USD on August 28, down 5 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,531 VND/USD, and the floor rate 24,005 VND/USD.

At 8:25 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw fluctuations.

Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 26,171 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,531 VND/USD, both up 1 VND from the August 27 morning session.

🍬 Meanwhile, BIDV reduced the buying rate by 14 VND to 26,171 VND/USD and the selling rate by 5 VND to 26,531 VND/USD./.
