Quang Tri awards “Heroic Vietnamese Mother” title to 84 women

The authorities of the central province of Quang Tri on July 24 held a ceremony to award and posthumously present the “Heroic Vietnamese Mother” title to 84 local women whose husbands and children sacrificed their lives for national independence.

Quang Tri (VNA) – The authorities of the central province of Quang Tri on July 24 held aceremony to award and posthumously present the “Heroic Vietnamese Mother” titleto 84 local women whose husbands and children sacrificed their lives fornational independence.

Of the awardedmothers, only three are still alive.

Also at the event, the provincial leaders granted the Independence Order to 11families with the most martyrs.

To date, Quang Tri has presented the “Heroic Vietnamese Mother” title to over2,870 women and the Independence Order to 656 families.
 
Speaking at thefunction, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung expressedhis deep gratitude to the Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, heroic martyrs and woundedsoldiers for their great contributions to the independence and freedom of theFatherland and the happiness of the people.

Later the same day, representativesof local authorities laid a wreath and offered incense in tribute to more than21,000 martyrs from all over the country who are resting at the National Road 9Martyrs Cemetery and Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
