Quang Ninh (VNA) – The northernborder province of Quang Ninh on February 20 presented items as support for theneighbouring Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China in the fight against theCOVID-19 epidemic.

Handing over the assistance on Bac Luan IIBridge that links Quang Ninh’s Mong Cai city with Guangxi’s Dongxing city,Standing Vice Secretary of the Vietnamese province’s Party Committee Ngo HoangNgan expressed sympathies for the Chinese side on the difficulties facing themin the COVID-19 combat.

He affirmed that his province always stands sideby side with the Chinese region to take concerted and drastic measures to curbthe epidemic.

The official asked Quang Ninh and the GuangxiZhuang Autonomous Region to keep coordinating closely to boost communicationsto raise public awareness of the disease.

Ngan also hoped that the Chinese region will usethe support effectively to help its people contain COVID-19, thereby helping tomaintain bilateral trading activities.

For his part, Sun Dawei, Vice Secretary of theParty Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, appreciated QuangNinh’s material and spiritual support which, he said, demonstrated the friendshipand solidarity between the two localities.

Earlier, many localities and units in Quang Ninhhad also supported the Chinese side with medical materials to prevent andcontrol COVID-19./.
