Quang Ninh announces administrative reform index in 2014

A conference announcing Quang Ninh’s administrative reform index in2014 of all departments and localities was held in the northern provinceon June 18. The province’s Industrial and Trade Departmenttopped in the office and department level with 82.9 percent, and thecity of Ha Long came first in the city and district category with80.05 percent. Other localities with indexes over 70percent included Cam Pha, Uong Bi and Mong Cai cities, Quang Yen andDong Trieu towns and Tien Yen district.
Chairman of theprovincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Long said Quang Ninh hasdetermined administrative reform to be a crucial element in theprovince’s socio-economic development. A number of effectiveadministrative reform models were highly evaluated by the community,particularly the province’s Public Administrative Centre.
The chairman also requested departments and localities settle all administrative procedures. Departments at all levels should improve their qualities and solutions to increase their administrative reform index.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
