Quang Ngai (VNA) – Authorities ofthe central province of Quang Ngai will earmark over 30.8 billion VND (over1.35 million USD) sourced from the local relief fund to support householdsaffected by floods in 2021, on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet)Festival.

Accordingly, each poor household will receive600,000 VND in cash, while near-poor households will get 400,000 VND each.

Initial statistics of theprovincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs show that Quang Ngai has over33,800 poor households and nearly 26,300 near-poor families, equivalent to 9.1percent and over 7 percent of its population, respectively.

As of December 28, 2021, the local relieffund had raised over 66.5 billion VND from organisations, businesses andindividuals in the locality./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
