Quang Nam announces certified seal for handicraft products

A ceremony was held in Hoi An city in the central province of Quang Nam on July 28 to announce a certified seal for handicraft products. 

Co-organised by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Industry and Trade, and Tourism Association, the annoucing is expected to create a tourism product value chain and increase local incomes.

It is part of a project to develop sustainable and responsible tourism in the central region of Vietnam carried out in Quang Nam for 2014-2015 by the International Labour Organisation, UNESCO and the provincial People’s Committee.

According the provincial People’s Committee, the introduction of the seal will help tourists differentiate local fine ✱art handicraft products from other🐼 provinces.-VNA
