Hanoi (VNA) – The Prime Ministerhas recently ratified a project to support gender equality in largely ethnicminority areas from 2018-2025.

The project aims to create positive changesin implementing gender equality-related activities and raise females’ status inethnic-inhabited regions, thus contributing to successfully realising goals setin the National Strategy on Gender Equality.

It aims to educate all staff members onethnic minority tasks at the provincial level, 50 percent of staff at districtand commune levels and village heads on policies and laws on gender equality.

In addition, 80 percent of ethnic minorityhouseholds are hoped to gain access to information on gender equalitypolicies.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
