–Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved a programme on the protection anddevelopment of ethnic minorities in 2021-2030.

All populationofficers, health workers, and prestigious people in ethnic minority communitieswill be provided with knowledge about population - family planning, and reproductivehealth care by 2030.

Thenumber of child marriages and consanguineous marriage is expected to be reduced by3-5 percent per year, while more than 50 percent of youths will receivepre-martial advices and health examination for early detection of infectious diseasesand HIV.

At least 70 percent ofpregnant mothers and newborns will be screened for the five most popular congenital diseases.

ꦍ Nearlyall ethnic minority people will be able to get rid of illiteracy by 2030. Up to 70 percent of workers will receive appropriate training required for the localdevelopment./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
