Prime Minister to hold dialogue with enterprises this week

Hanoi (VNA) - Adialogue between Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the business community will takeplace on May 9, allowing firms to communicate directly with the Governmentleader.

Theevent, which will be carried out online and broadcast live on VietnamTelevision (VTV), aims toaddress businesses’ concerns, boost production and restart the economy inresponse to the COVID-19 pandemic.

TheMinistry of Planning and Investment (MPI) is tasked with working with theGovernment Office, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), andrelevant agencies to organise the event.

TheMPI is responsible for receiving proposals from enterprises as well asparticipants. Based on the conclusions of the dialogue, the Government willissue a plan of actions detailing measures to restart the economy.

Dialogueswith businesses have been held annually by the Prime Minister from thebeginning of his term and the May 9 event is the fourth dialogue withbusinesses since PM Phuc tookoffice in 2016./.
