Hanoi (VNA) – Prime MinisterNguyen Xuan Phuc has issued decisions on disciplinary measures against two governmentofficials after the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission punished thetwo for their violations of regulations in connection with Mobifone’sacquisition of 95 percent of AVG shares.
Under Decision 1673/QD-TTg,former Vice Chairman of the Government’s Office Le Manh Ha was given areprimand.
Meanwhile, a warning was servedto Nguyen Trong Dung, deputy head of the enterprise innovation division underthe Government Office’s Department of Enterprise Innovation, under Decision1674/QD-TTg.
During its 31st meeting from November 12-14, the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commissionscrutinized the violations of officials in connection with the AVG case.Accordingly, the commission decided to give a reprimand to former Vice Chairmanof the Government Office Le Manh Ha, and a warning to Nguyen Trong Dung, deputyhead of the enterprise innovation division under the Government Office’sDepartment of Enterprise Innovation.-VNA
The Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission announced on June 2 violations in the purchase of 95 percent of shares at the AVG Audiovisual JSC by the MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has reprimanded Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Hong Hai as a disciplinary measure for his violations in the case regarding MobiFone’s purchase of 95 percent of the shares of AVG Audiovisual JSC.
Former General Director of State-run telecom firm Mobifone Cao Duy Hai and incumbent Deputy General Director of the company Pham Thi Phuong Anh have been arrested in connection with violations of rules on public investment capital at the firm.
The Inspection Commission of the Party Central Committee held its 31st session from November 12-14, with a focus on the serious violations of regulations committed by several officials.
The Party Central Committee’s Secretariat has decided to give a reprimand to Bui Quang Vinh, former member of the Party Central Committee and former Minister of Planning and Investment, for his responsibility for wrongdoings in Mobifone’s acquisition of 95 percent of AVG shares.
