President works with Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform’s standing agency

Hanoi (VNA) -꧟ President Luong Cuong chaired a working session with the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs – the standing agency of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform - in Hanoi on November 27.
The meeting aims to put forth key orientations and tasks for judicial reform in the coming time, and discuss regulations on the steering committee's functions, tasks, authority and working relations.
Representatives of the commission briefed the President on the recent progress and outcomes of judicial reform efforts, as well as the collection of feedback from Politburo members and those from relevant agencies regarding the draft regulations on the operation of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform.
The State leader commended the commission for its close coordination with relevant agencies in researching and finalising the draft regulations for submission to the Politburo for approval.
He urged the commission to thoroughly prepare for the first meeting after the Politburo issues a decision on strengthening the organisation of the Steering Committee.
President Cuong also asked the commission to focus on the building of a working programme of the steering committee for the remainder of the term, thus assisting the steering committee in its leadership of the judicial reform, in line with Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW, dated November 9, 2022, on continuing to build and perfect the Vietnamese socialist rule-of-law state in the new period./.
Continuing to promote the development of a socialist-oriented market economy, building and perfecting the Vietnamese socialist rule-of-law State with deep international integration are among major tasks in the coming time, President To Lam, head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform stated.
President To Lam had a hybrid meeting with the Supreme People’s Court (SPC) and people’s courts nationwide on June 14, during which he demanded that the sector hasten judicial reform and build a modern and professional judicial system to help with forming a law-governed socialist State.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, chaired the committee’s third meeting in Hanoi on January 9 to review the 2022 performance and set focal tasks for 2023.
As part of the ASEAN Day celebrations, the Vietnamese embassy will also host the ASEAN Family Day 2025 in Ottawa to foster solidarity and community spirit among ASEAN members in Canada.
