Ho Chi Minh City (VNA) – President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on January 23 presentedgifts to workers of Thu Duc city in the southern hub of Ho Chi Minh City, onthe threshold of the traditional lunar New Year.

The leader spokehighly of the municipal authorities’ efforts in caring for workers anddisadvantaged groups on the occasion of the country’s biggest festival, callingit’s a very significant and timely move.

He also took note oftheir work in ensuring social welfare and care for workers, and asked them tocontinue to help locals, especially those adversely affected by the COVID-19,and firms to pay more attentions to workers.

President Phucexpressed his hope that right after the longest holiday, workers will promptlyresume their work, thus contributing to the development of the metropolis./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
