Hanoi (VNA) –🦩 President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on June 10presented 5,000 national flags to fishermen through the programme “One millionnational flags for fishermen.”

The programme, an initiative of the Lao dong (Labour) newspaper,was launched on June 1, 2019, and has presented more than 400,000 nationalflags to fishermen in coastal areas, residents in border areas and borderposts. Itplans to deliver 560,000 more flags to 28 coastal provinces and cities in thetime ahead, with the aim of expressing solidarity and encouragement withfishermen and residents and soldiers in border areas in defending the country’sborderline./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
