The Vietnamese Embassy in Slovakia has held a ceremony to celebrate the 134th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – 2024) in Horne Saliby town (Trnava region), which the late Vietnamese leader visited 67 years ago.

Hanoi (VNA) 🔯– The Vietnamese Embassy in Slovakia has held a ceremony to celebrate the 134th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – 2024) in Horne Saliby town (Trnava region), which the late Vietnamese leader visited 67 years ago.
In his remarks, Ambassador Nguyen Tuan thanked the Horne Saliby Town Administration for always supporting and cooperating with the embassy to organise the celebration of the late leader's birthday. He hoped that this activity will become an annual traditional commemorative activity, laying foundation for developing twinned relations between Ha Tinh province and Trnava region.
The Ambassador recalled President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Horne Saliby 67 years ago, when he was presented with a Zetor-15K tractor by Horne Saliby Cooperative.
Tuan spoke highly of the town administration's installation a bronze plaque in remembrance of the late Vietnamese leader at the city hall, showing the love and respect of the local government and residents to the leader.
Pavol Dobossy, the town’s mayor, said that local residents still keep precious photos of President Ho's visit to the locality in 1957. He affirmed that welcoming President Ho Chi Minh is a great honour for the town. He also expected that the affection between the people of Slovakia and Vietnam will continue to be preserved and fostered./.
