President commends Ministry of Public Security, sets future priorities

Hanoi (VNA) - President Luong Cuong has laud♒ed the Ministry of Public Security for its outstanding performance in safeguarding national independence and sovereignty, territorial integrity and the socialist regime, which has helped maintain a peaceful, stable, secure a𒅌nd safe environment for national development.
During a working session with the ministry's leaders in Hanoi on December 11, President Cuong underlined several key tasks for the ministry in the time ahead, one of which is to keep a firm grasp on the situation and maintain political stability for national development.
Another task is to ensure absolute safety during major national events, particularly the upcoming Party congresses at all levels in the lead-up to the 14th National Party Congress.
The President required the ministry to focus efforts on building truly clean and strong Party units within the Central Public Security Party Organisation, in parallel with broader efforts to build a streamlined, strong, efficient and effective apparatus as envisioned in Resolution 12 adopted by the 13th-tenure Politburo.
He also instructed the ministry to make careful preparations for Party congresses at all levels within the sector, strengthen coordination with other ministries, agencies and local authorities, and pay more attention to bolstering international cooperation, positioning public security diplomacy a key pillar of Party and State diplomacy.
The ministry reported to the State leader arising issues related to security and social order, including threats to national security, and its working direction to fulfil the targets and tasks set by the resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress and the 7th Congress of the Central Public Security Party Organisation.
Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang reaffirmed the public security force's unwavering loyalty to the Party, nation, and people, pledging that the force would build on its past successes, remain united in will and action, and collaborate closely with ministries, agencies, localities and socio-political organisations. This aims to advance the cause of national construction and defence, fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted by the Party, State, and people./
