Politburo’s working groups review plans for Lai Chau, Ha Tinh, Can Tho Party Congresses
The working groups directed the Party Committees of Lai Chau, Ha Tinh, and Can Tho to refine their congress documents by incorporating feedback from Politburo and Secretariat members, as well as input from ministries and agencies. Hanoi (VNA) 💫– The Politburo’s working groups No. 3 and No. 4 held working sessions in Hanoi on September 4 with representatives of the standing boards of the municipal and provincial Party Committees of Lai Chau, Ha Tinh, and Can Tho to discuss draft documents and personnel plans for their Party Congresses for 2025-2030 term.
The groups scrutinised key documents, including political reports, self-assessment reviews of the 2020–2025 term for the municipal and provincial Party Committees, personnel proposals for the 2025–2030 Party Committees, and draft congress resolutions.
Participating Politburo and Secretariat members, and other delegates broadly endorsed the draft documents from Lai Chau, Ha Tinh, and Can Tho. The materials were praised for offering a comprehensive assessment of achievements over the past five years while frankly addressing shortcomings, their causes, and lessons learned. They also laid out goals, tasks, and solutions for 2025–2030, aligning with key directions outlined in the 14th National Party Congress’s draft documents, and the Party Central Committee and Politburo’s recent resolutions.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man urged the Lai Chau provincial Party Organisation to continue fostering unity, self-reliance, and resilience; accelerate innovation and digital transformation, and strive to build Lai Chau into a rapidly developing, green, and sustainable province.
For Can Tho, he stressed its potential to emerge as a driving hub of the Mekong Delta and a key national growth pole during the 2025–2030 period.
Politburo member and standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, meanwhile, called on the Ha Tinh provincial Party Organisation to leverage proud revolutionary tradition, distinctive cultural values, and public aspiration for progress. It should seize opportunities, accelerate innovation and digital transformation, and pursue rapid and sustainable development, he said.

The personnel plan was basically approved by the Politburo, including nominations of military officers to the 14th Party Central Committee, the Central Military Commission and its Inspection Commission for the 2025–2030 term, as well as delegates to the 14th National Congress.
