Hanoi (VNA) – The Politburo and the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee on September 6 considered and issued disciplinary measures for Party organisations and Party members of Bac Giang and Hoa Binh provinces, along with Ho Chi Minh City, for their violations of Party regulations and the law.
The Politburo and Secretariat found that the Standing Board of the Bac Giang provincial Party Committee in the 2020 - 2025 tenure had violated the principle of democratic centralism and the working rules, lacked a sense of responsibility, and shown lax leadership, direction, examination, and monitoring, thus enabling the Party Delegation of the provincial People’s Council, the Party Civil Affairs Board of the provincial People’s Committee, along with many collectives and individuals to violate the Party’s regulations and the State’s law in some investment projects carried out by the Thuan An Group JSC in this province.
The meeting also looked into the wrongdoings by some Party members at the Party organisations of Hoa Binh province and Ho Chi Minh City.
They included Ngo Ngoc Duc, a former Secretary of the Party Committee and former Chairman of the People’s Council of Hoa Binh city in Hoa Binh province; Nguyen Thi Hong, former member of the Standing Board of the HCM City Party Committee and former Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee; and Le Duy Minh, member of the HCM City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the municipal Finance Department, former Secretary of the Party Committee and former Director of the municipal Taxation Department.
Those three officials had shown a degradation in political thought, morality, and lifestyle, and infringed on the Party’s regulations and the State’s law while performing their assigned duties and fighting corruption and negative phenomena. They broke the regulations on the things Party members are banned from doing as well as on Party members' responsibility for leading by example, thus resulting in “very serious” consequences, stirring public concern, and causing “very bad” impact on the Party organisations, agencies, and units they worked for, according to the Politburo and the Secretariat.
Given the wrongdoings’ content, nature, level, consequences, and causes and based on the Party’s regulations on disciplinary measures for violating Party organisations and members, the Politburo decided to issue a warning for the Standing Board of the Bac Giang provincial Party Committee in the 2020 - 2025 tenure.
😼 It also decided to expel Duc, Hong, and Minh from the Party and asked competent agencies to impose timely administrative disciplinary measures./.
