PM: Vietnam wants to further trade, investment ties with Spain
As strategic partners, Vietnam wants to foster comprehensive relations with Spain, particularly in economic, trade and investment ties, said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Hanoi (VNA) – As strategic partners, Vietnam wants to foster comprehensiverelations with Spain, particularly in economic, trade and investment ties, andthe Vietnamese Government will create favourable conditions for Spanishenterprises to invest in the country, said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
During a reception for newly-accredited SpanishAmbassador to Vietnam Maria Jesus Figa Lopez-Palop in Hanoi on September 19, PMPhuc said Vietnam always cherishes the friendship and multi-faceted cooperationwith Spain, an important member of the European Union (EU), and believed thatthe diplomat would make significant contributions to developing bilateral relations.
The PM expected that the two sides will increase the exchange of delegations atall levels and asked the ambassador to convey his invitation to Spanish PMMariano Rajoy to visit Vietnam at convenient time.
He suggested the two nations soon build an action programme to create aframework for bilateral cooperation in the coming years, especially in thefields of renewable energy, infrastructure construction, tourism and high-techagriculture.
The government leader went on to say that the two countries should continueactivities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relationsand closely coordinate at international forums, especially the UN, ASEM andASEAN-EU.
The Vietnamese Government and relevant ministries will create favourableconditions for the ambassador to fulfill her assigned missions, he added.
For her part, Maria Jesus Figa Lopez-Palop promised to try her utmost toelevate the bilateral relationship to a new height.
Sheexpressed her sympathy over the great losses in humans and property caused bystorm Doksuri.
The ambassador gave recommendations to promote Spanish cooperation projects inVietnam to help the European country gain a appropriate position in Vietnam’sbusiness map, adding that her priority is to pushing economic and trade tiesbetween the two nations.-VNA
