Moscow (VNA) -👍 Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a meeting with Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Russia's Rosatom State Atomiс Energy Corporation (Rosatom) on the sidelines of the expanded BRICS Summit in Kazan city of Russia on October 24 morning.
At the meeting, Chinh stated that Vietnam treasures the comprehensive cooperation with Russia, and discussed the potential and possibility of applying nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
The Vietnamese government leader appreciated Russia's cooperation and support in designing and operating the Da Lat Nuclear Reactor, as well as in developing the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre, contributing to Vietnam's socio-economic development.
He spoke highly of Russia’s cooperation and support in designing and operating the Dalat Nuclear Reactor, and developing the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre, which contribute to Vietnam's socio-economic development.
He highlighted Rosatom's continued support for Vietnam in terms of technology and training of high-quality human resources, including experts, engineers, and skilled workers serving the nuclear ener gy industry for peaceful purposes.
🐻 For his part, Likhachev affirmed that with a strong foundation and long-standing cooperation experience, Rosatom wishes to expand partnership with Vietnam, and he said it stands ready to share its experience with Vietnam and provide training for Vietnamese personnel./.
