PM hails Hanoi – Vientiane cooperation

Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has hailed the cooperationbetween Hanoi and the Lao capital city of Vientiane and expected the two citiesto continue their exchanges and support.

Duringhis reception for visiting Vientiane Governor Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune inHanoi on March 27, PM Phuc hailed the Lao Governor’s visit to Hanoi, sayingthat it contributes to consolidating the bilateral ties between the two cities.

Hehighlighted the special and traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos,describing it as a priceless common asset the two nations need to treasure andpromote in the future.

Forhis part, the Lao Governor informed the PM about the achievements the two nationshave recently gained, including the memorandum of understanding on promotingcooperation in the coming time.

Heexpressed his hope that PM Phuc will continue facilitating cooperationprogrammes and projects between the two capital cities.

Healso pledged to do his utmost to consolidate the special friendship between thetwo Parties, States and people, and the two capital cities.

Echoingthe guest’s suggestions, the PM stressed the significance of cooperationbetween the countries’ ministries, sectors and localities, including Hanoi andVientiane, in promoting collaboration between the two parties and states.

According to the PM, the two capital cities need to take lead in strengtheningcooperation programmes, especially technical coordination in building green,clean, and beautiful cities.

Heexpressed his hope that the two sides will increase their exchanges andexperience sharing in capital development.

TheGovernment of Vietnam and Hanoi will do their utmost to contribute to theconstruction and development of Vientiane in the future, the PM said.-VNA
