Hanoi (VNA) – Permanent Government members metin Hanoi on February 20 to discuss the acceleration of the Trung Luong-My Thuanhighway construction.

The project is highly significant, connecting the MekongDelta with Ho Chi Minh City and the southern key economic region.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the 51km-long, 17km-widehighway will pass through the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang, costing over9.6 trillion VND (417 million USD) in the form of build-operate-transfer. Theproject is scheduled for completion by 2020, but the construction pace islagging behind schedule.

At the event, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highlightedthe significance of the highway to the development of the Mekong Delta and thecountry.

He requested that the progress and quality of the project isensured, for completion by 2020 as planned.

The leader agreed that the project will be invested in bythe provincial People’s Committee in replace of the ministry. –VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
