PM chairs Politburo’s working sessions with Tay Ninh, Tuyen Quang on Party congress preparations

Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired Politburo working sessions with the Standing Boards of the Party Committees of Tay Ninh and Tuyen Quang provinces to give feedback on draft documents and personnel plans for the upcoming provincial Party Congresses for the 2025-2030 tenure.
The Politburo’s working group No.2 reviewed the key draft documents to be submitted to the congresses, including political reports, ones on the leadership and direction of the provincial Party Committees’ Standing Boards for 2020-2025, personnel plans, and congress resolutions.
The draft documents demonstrated that the Provincial Party Committees had conducted thorough assessments of achievements over the past five years while candidly identifying limitations, underlying causes, and lessons learned.
🉐 The strategic direction, objectives, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 period reflected strong political determination and developmental vision, defining key priorities and breakthrough development initiatives. They incorporated and specified major policies and orientations from the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and recent Part Central Committee and Politburo’s resolutions.

Expressing approval of the draft documents, Politburo and Secretariat members asked for further clarification on outstanding achievements, existing limitations, as well as potential and strengths of each localities.
PM Chinh ordered the Party organisation of Tay Ninh province to accelerate Party building and promote the strong political system, while preserving the province's traditions of courage and resilience. The province should pursue breakthrough socio-economic development and ensure national defence and security as the country enters a new era – that of the nation’s rise.
With Tuyen Quang province, the Government leader urged the local Party organisation, authorities, and people of ethnic groups to continue promoting the revolutionary tradition, firmly safeguarding the nation’s border sovereignty, and enhancing the Party’s leadership capacity. He called for unity to successfully deliver on the 2030 targets and join the country in advancing toward a new era of the nation’s rise.
📖 The working group requested that the Tay Ninh and Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committees study and incorporate feedback from Politburo and Secretariat members, while collecting input from competent ministries and departments to refine the documents./.
The Politburo’s Working Groups No. 1, 3, and 4 held meetings in Hanoi on September 8 with representatives of the Standing Boards of the Party Committees of Dong Nai, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Quang Tri, Thai Nguyen, and Phu Tho to provide opinions on draft documents and personnel plans to be submitted to the Party Congresses for the 2025-2030 term.
PM Chinh said the Government must tackle regulatory “bottlenecks” in 2025, as required under the Politburo’s Resolution 66/NQ-TW, which sets an economic growth target of 8.3%–8.5% next year and double-digit expansion in subsequent years.
It is important that orientations for the new term are aligned with the nation’s major directions and take into consideration the broader national development context, especially new opportunities that come with the implementation of the two-tier local administration system, according to a senior Party official.
Defence Minister Gen. Phan Van Giang expressed his hope that collaboration between the Ministry of National Defence of Vietnam and the Maritime Board of Russia will continue to be strengthened on the basis of mutual benefit, in line with international law and the laws of each country.
Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci affirmed Turkey’s desire to deepen cooperation with Vietnam, noting that since establishing diplomatic ties in 1978, the two countries have maintained effective collaboration in trade, investment, defence industry, culture, and tourism.
The host leader agreed with the Vietnamese diplomat’s proposals to enhance parliamentary cooperation, including promoting the activities of the parliamentary friendship groups and sharing legislative experience, considering them important drivers for bilateral ties.
PM Pham Minh Chinh underscored the importance of solidarity and unanimity between the NA and the Government in performing tasks, including the building of a legal system that promotes a law-governed socialist State of the people, by the people, and for the people.
Party General Secretary To Lam called on the entire foreign affairs sector, including the diplomatic service, to continue playing a pioneering role in creating a peaceful and stable environment, and maximising external resources and favourable conditions to spur national development, particularly to achieve the development goals for 2030 and 2045.
