Hanoi (VNA)𒀰 – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation returned to Hanoi on November 8 evening, successfully concluding their trip to China to attend the 8th Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) Summit, the 10th Ayeyawady - Chao Phraya - Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit, the 11th Cambodia - Laos - Myanmar - Vietnam (CLMV) Cooperation Summit, and working visit to China.
From November 5-8 in Yunnan province and Chongqing city, PM Chinh engaged in a comprehensive, diverse range of activities, both multilateral and bilateral. His agenda included attending and delivering speeches at the summits, meeting with leaders of participating countries, including Lao PM Sonexay Siphandone, Cambodian PM Hun Manet, and Chinese Premier Li Qiang, and working with local leaders of Yunnan, Chongqing and Guangxi.
He also visited historical sites associated with President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary activities, met with representatives of the Vietnamese community in China, and attended cultural and tourism festivals promoting the image, country and people of Vietnam. He also attended a business forum, received leaders of Chinese leading companies, particularly those in the fields of infrastructure, energy and aviation, and visited the Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park.
PM Chinh's working trip left a bold mark, with significant contributions to building solidarity, deploying concrete cooperation priorities, and heading to a region of fast and sustainable development. The trip also helped fortify and further promote the friendly neighborliness and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China, as well as the Vietnam-China Community with a shared future that carries strategic significance./.
