Hanoi (VNA) – The Prime Minister has approved the Plan for Preparation and Implementation of the World Trade Organisation Agreement on Trade Facilitation (TF).

According to the plan, before the TF takes effect, agencies must carry out public communication campaigns to popularise the agreement to ensure consistent application of the TF in line with World Trade Organisation (WTO) commitments.

Agencies were asked to create guiding documents on regulations and obligations in the TF, so relevant ministries and sectors are aware of their obligations and responsibilities in implementing the TF.

They were also directed to help enterprises take advantages of the agreement and find technical support to implement the TF from international organisations like the WTO, the World Bank, the World Customs Organisation, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and developed countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan.

The plan also assigns tasks in various fields including transparency, fees and procedures, movement freedom, customs cooperation, special treatment and institutions.
