Hanoi (VNA) - A photoexhibition featuring works on Vietnam by Spanish photographers opened onFebruary 11 in Madrid, Spain.

Held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Spain and Camilo Jose Cela University, theexhibition “Goc nhin ve Viet Nam” (Overviews of Vietnam) is part of activitiesto mark the 10th anniversary of the Strategic Partnership between thetwo countries.

On display are some 50 photos by JorgeMendoza Ismer and Carlos Vaquerin Moares, which were taken during their trip toVietnam in March last year. The photos highlight beautiful landscapes and dailyactivities in Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta localities, Hue, Hoi An, Da Nang,Hanoi and Sapa.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Ngo Tien Dung said the event aimsto promote Vietnam to Spanish people, affirming that it contributes to tighteningdiplomatic and people-to-people ties between the two countries.

Through the exhibition, the fund of Camilo Jose Cela University hopes to workwith Vietnamese non-governmental organisations to implement several charitableprojects in Vietnam, and receive more Vietnamese students to study in the school.

Dung called on more Spanish people to visit Vietnam and enjoy the country’s beautywith their own eyes.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
