Hanoi (VNA) – Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam’sCentral Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai hosted areception on November 12 for delegates attending the ongoing ninthVietnam-China People’s Forum in Hanoi.

Mai, who is a Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Secretariat,spoke highly of the organization of the forum on the occasion of GeneralSecretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and President Xi Jinping’sState visit to Vietnam right after the 19th National Congress of theCPC.

She acknowledged that after eight editions, the forum has become a platformfor scholars, intellectuals and experts of both countries to exchange,contributing to promoting the healthy and effective growth of the Vietnam-Chinaties on the foundation of common perceptions reached by leaders of bothcountries.


The forum has dealt with current bilateral relations, helping deepenmutual understanding and political trust between the two countries, and creatinga solid foundation for both sides to develop together, she noted.

At the meeting, Mai was also briefed on major outcomes of the forum by headsof the Vietnamese and Chinese delegations.

During the ninth Vietnam-China People’s Forum, taking place fromNovember 10-14, participants discussed the current situation of theVietnam-China relationship, while giving ideas to promote future ties in ahealthy and sustainable manner.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
