Party inspection commissions of Vietnam, Laos strengthen ties

Hanoi (VNA) – Theleaders of the inspection commissions of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)Central Committee and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committeeheld talks via videoconference on December 8.

Tran Cam Tu, Politburomember, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and Chairman of the CPVInspection Commission, and his Lao counterpart Khamphan Phommathat shared theview that the two countries’ relations have continued to be reinforced in variousfields despite impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has substantiallycontributed to the stability and development of each country.

Tu said the Party and Stateleaders of Vietnam affirm their strong and comprehensive support for Laos’reforms, and that they give the top priority to the relations with Laos,considering this as a strategic task in Vietnam’s foreign policy. The countrywill exert every effort to join Laos in maintaining, protecting, andunceasingly nurturing the special solidarity so that bilateral ties will developin a more substantive, practical, and effective manner in all aspects.

The two officials informedeach other about their respective countries’ situation and the outcomes of examination,supervision, and discipline affairs in the two Parties.

They said the cooperationagreement for 2016 - 2021 between the Vietnamese and Lao inspection commissionshave been carried out in a uniform, methodological, and fruitful fashion. The twosides have frequently exchanged information and informed about their respectiveParties and countries’ situation. They have also shared experience in the Partyand political system building and provided each other with documents relevantto the examination, supervision, and discipline enforcement in the Parties

The agreement implementation outcomesare critically important to enhancing the friendship, special solidarity, andcomprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States, and peoples, as wellas between the inspection commissions.

They agreed to coordinateclosely and make stronger efforts to effectively carry out the agreementsbetween the countries’ Party and State leaders and continue implementing thecooperation deal for 2022 - 2026./.
