OVs in Thailand, Angola raise fund for AO victims

As of September 2, overseas Vietnamese (OVs)in Thailand raised about 13,160 USD to help Agent Orange (AO) victims in their home country.

At a recent fund-raising ceremony in Bangkok , Ambassador Ngo Đuc Thangpraised humanitarian deeds of the Vietnamese community in Thailandfor disadvantaged people in the home country.

On the occasion, hecalled upon individuals and organisations at home and abroad to joinhands to ease AO victims’ pains and support their struggle for justice.

Earlier,a representative of the Vietnamese community in Angola handed over2,600 USD to the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange /dioxin(VAVA) at a ceremony in Hanoi .

VAVA President Nguyen VanRinh, on behalf of Vietnamese AO victims, thanked for the assistance andsaid the amount will help build a centre to care and provide vocationaltraining for AO victims./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
