Vietnamese children in Singapore and Malaysia immersed themselves into the joyful Mid-Autumn festival, organised at the Vietnamese Embassies in these countries on September 26.  The Embassy in Singapore welcomed dozens of Vietnamese families and their children, who joined in folk games, lion dances, and lantern shows.
A talent show and a painting competition were also held for the young expats to learn about traditional values, language and culture of their homeland.  Meanwhile in Malaysia, the Vietnamese Women Club hosted a similar event for Vietnamese children.
Ambassador to Malaysia Pham Cao Phong expressed his hope that Vietnamese youth in Malaysia keep learning Vietnamese language, as a way to preserve their identity.  Participating children took part in traditional games, and enjoyed home-made moon-cakes.-VNA

India🎃n writer captivated by Vietnam’s Cham culture

For years, the Vietnamese community in many countries rarely had the chance to experience Vietnam’s traditional arts and culture actitivies organized by the Vietnam government, except the annual event “Vietnam Day Abroad” that has been organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2010. But the year 2024 marked a turning point.

In the context of international integration and globalisation, culture and art education plays a vital role in promoting the all-round development of Vietnam's young generation.
