Hanoi (VNA)🦋 – The Hanoi Fatherland Front Committee honoured 20 organisations in recognition of their outstanding contributions in raising the “For beloved Truong Sa” fund at a conference in the city on June 7.

The city’s Party Committee and Fatherland Front Committee started to raise the fund on March 30 and by May 30, they had collected more than 45.5 billion VND, or 2.03 million USD, from donors across Hanoi. According to Chairman of the municipal Fatherland Front Committee Vu Hong Khanh, 35 billion VND of the sum will be sent to soldiers and residents living in Truong Sa island district, while the remaining will be used to run programmes in support of the district. The fundraising activities aim to inspire patriotism among local residents and raise their responsibility for protecting their sovereignty.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
