– Deputy Prime MinisterTruong Hoa Binh presented gift packages to poor people from the Cham ethnicgroup in Ho Chi Minh City on January 11 on the occasion of the upcomingtraditional Lunar New Year (Tet).

The Cham ethnic group is the third biggestcommunity in HCM City with around 8,000 people.

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong DinhHue visited needy households, Agent Orange/dioxin victims, and poor workers inthe northern province of Vinh Phuc.

The official along with representatives from theVietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the Vietnam General Confederationof Labour, the Vietnam Red Cross Society, and local authorities presented giftsto 400 houses from disadvantaged backgrounds and social welfare policies.

Also on January 11, Chairman of the VietnamFatherland Front Central Committee Tran Thanh Man extended his New Yeargreetings while visiting Lac Duong district in the Central Highlands provinceof Lam Dong.

He granted 150 gift packages worth one millionVND each for poor and nearly-poor households in the district./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
