Hanoi (VNA) – A press festival to welcome the Year of the Rooster openedat the Viet Xo (Vietnam – Russia) Friendship Cultural Palace in Hanoi onJanuary 17.
Organisedby the Hanoi Journalists Association, the event features 23 stalls ofpublications that together offer a socio-economic overview of the capital citylast year.
Thefestival, which also serves as a gathering for journalists, lasts until January18.
On theoccasion, the municipal journalists association held a ceremony to present theNgo Tat To press award to outstanding news stories last year. Reporters fromthe Hanoi Moi newspaper and Hanoi radio-television secured first prizes at the printand television categories.
