Nghe An hands over rare tigers to Hanoi rescue centre

The Wild Animal Rescue Centre of Pu Mat National Park in the central province of Nghe An handed over two Indochinese tigers to the Hanoi centre for wild animal rescue and forest protection on December 7.

The Pu Mat wild animal rescue centre took care of the two big catssince they were sent in as exhibits from a wild animal trafficking casethat police brought to light on June 13.

On the first day atthe centre, the tigers, one male and one female weighing 90 kilogramsand 70 kilograms, were in a critical condition as they were drugged for along-travelling trip and got serious injuries.
 
They are nowhealthy and have been provided with re-wilding training before coming tothe Hanoi centre, according to Tran Xuan Cuong, Deputy Director of PuMat National Park.-VNA
