About 22.21 million pupils and students in 43,874 schools from kindergarten to higher education levels nationwide started their new academic year on September 5.

About 22.21 million pupils and students in 43,874 schools from kindergarten to higher education levels nationwide started their new academic year on September 5. This year, the schools welcome 337,937 more students than the previous year. So far, 16,276 schools have met national standards.
In the new academic year, strong and comprehensive renovation in teaching and studying methods as well as curriculum reform are expected to continue across the country, with the aim of improving education and training quality. Students are encouraged to focus on creative activities, scientific research, and exercise soft skills.
On the occasion, many leaders of the Party, State and the Ministry of Education and Training attended school-year starting ceremony in various schools nationwide, especially those in mountainous and remote areas. Tong Thi Phong, Politburo member and National Assembly Vice Chairwoman joined students and teachers in Yen Thuy boarding school for ethnic minority students in northern mountainous Hoa Binh province in a such ceremony. She also presented 20 scholarships to poor students with good academic performance in the school. This year, Yen Thuy school, which has 220 students, targets to become a school of national standards.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
