New chairman appointed for Party’s economic commission

Nguyen Van Binh, the former Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Economic Affairs.

Hanoi (VNA) – Nguyen Van𓃲 Binh, the former✤ Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Economic Affairs.

Politburo member Binh replaces Vuong Dinh Hue, who is now a Deputy Prime Minister.
Before serving as Governor of the State Bank, Binh used to be Vice Governor, and earlier, acting Chairman of the International Investment Bank in Russia.
Politburo member Hue served as the Auditor General of the State Audit Office of Vietnam, and Minister of Finance before. The relief of Hue from the Chairmanship of the Commission for Economic Affairs and Binh’s appointment to the position was decided by the Politburo and announced in Hanoi on April 11.-VNA
