New bridge to ease traffic flow on national highway

The 1.3 km long concretestructure over the Dong Nai River was built in three years at a cost ofnearly 1.2 trillion VND (57.1 million USD). It allows vehicles weighingup to 30 tonnes to travel through.

The Hoa An bridge project onNational Highway 1K also includes three intersections between thehighway and roads in the province’s Bien Hoa city.

They are hopedto not only relieve traffic volume on National Highway 1A but alsofacilitate travel from the city to neighbouring Binh Duong province, HoChi Minh City and other southern provinces.

At the openingceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai spoke highly of effortsby Dong Nai authorities and contractors to complete the project onschedule, adding that facilities like Hoa An bridge will give an impetusfor Bien Hoa’s growth.

The same day, Deputy PM Hai launched anorder to start the construction of an underpass and a flyover onNational Highway 1A section, which runs through Bien Hoa city.

Thepaths with four lanes each are part of National Highway 1A and have atotal investment of 485 billion VND (23.1 million USD).

The two projects expected to be completed in eight and six months, respectively.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
