KhanhHoa (VNA) - The Nha Trang Tourist Pier in the south-central coastal cityof Nha Trang began a trial run on May 5.
It willreplace the Cau Da Tourist Pier in the city’s Vinh Nguyen commune, which has beenat full capacity for many years.
The new 5,500square metre pier is for passenger transport, with each boat allowed to carry amaximum of 99 people.
Local authoritiesplan to replace Cau Da Pier with a park and a parking lot.
Nha Trang is a popular beach resort in Khanh Hoa province. Its long stretches of stunning beaches, primeval islands, scuba diving, mud baths, as well as excellent local dishes have made the locality an alluring destination for foreign tourists, particularly those from China and Russia. Khanh Hoa has welcomed 16 international cruises so far this year, with more than 19,000 tourists disembarking to explore the province’s scenic landscapes and renowned cultural, religious, and artistic landmarks, as well as to enjoy local cuisine and sightseeing tours.
