Hanoi (VNA) – A total of 925,972 students across the country enteredthe three-day national high school exam on June 25.
On the morning, they will do a test in Vietnamese literature andlanguage during 120 minutes, followed by a 90-minute math test in the afternoon.
There will be a total of five tests, which are literature, math, foreignlanguage, natural science subject group and social science subject group.
The examination is a major event in Vietnam, as its results will be usedfor both high school graduation and university entrance consideration.
This year, the exam, which is being organized at 2,144 locationsnationwide, has several new features compared to 2017, including a reduction inresting time between tests from 20 minutes to 10 minutes.
Students can choose naturalscience subject group or social science subject group, but those who registeredto take both groups must finish all tests or their results will not berecognised.
Since 2015, high schoolgraduation and university entrance exams have been integrated into one nationalexam.
Provinces nationwide are offering assistance to the exam candidates, settingup volunteer teams to provide them with information related to the exams, dealwith emergencies, ensure security and help regulate traffic near testinglocations.-VNA
